Our 6 bands have recorded 10 tracks (pretty good going for 3 days' studio time!) at Sound Gallery Studios. The results are fantastic and the final mixes are now being worked on and should be with us shortly...
We want the artwork for the first ever Topsham Rock School studio album to come from our students, so get designing and either e-mail your it through or give us your final artwork on paper by September 13th at the latest so that we can scan it. (Anyone got a scanner?!) And we need a title. ("10 from 6"? Good title, but Bad Company already used it on a Best Of).
Carnival
Despite last minute panic, brought on by a generator that didn't work, the Carnival was a HUGE success. Chaotic scenes resulting from an absence of electricity on our float were, in my opinion, the only possible reason for us not winning first prize. But hey, there's always next year...
BIG Thanks to everyone who gave their time, vehicles and general support to help the TRS Float come together, to Ben for co-ordinating everything, to Exeter Phoenix for the lights, the Carnival Commitee and Parsons Haulage for providing the lorry and driver Alan, Dave Coe, Broom Park Nursery, Topsham Cars, Robin Turl for providing a generator at a moments notice, and, of course, Martin for cowbell...
